The Media & Outreach team is currently composed of :
Maëlis Arnould, LGL-TPE, University Lyon 1, France (Outreach & Media Lead)
Primary field of expertise: Internal dynamics, structure, chemical, thermal, and magnetic evolution of planets
Secondary field of expertise: Tectonics, volcanism, magmatism, metamorphism, and planetary surface evolution

II obtained my PhD in cotutelle between ENS Lyon, France and University of Sydney, Australia. After 2 postdocs (in Paris and in Oslo), I was hired as an Assistant Professor in Geodynamics at University Lyon 1, where I am still based. My work consists in the exploration of the influence of mantle convection on surface tectonics, magmatism and topography thanks to the use of numerical models of mantle convection with plate-like tectonics. Apart from having accompanied the birth of Geodynamica from its start, I like to be involved in community initiatives, such as the Did this really happen?! project.

Fabio Crameri, International Space Science Institute (ISSI) & Undertone.design, Bern Switzerland
Primary field of expertise: Community initiatives: education, outreach, and equality, diversity, and inclusion efforts
Secondary field of expertise: Internal dynamics, structure, chemical, thermal, magnetic evolution of planets

I have a PhD in geophysics and study global-scale mantle convection in the Earth and other silicate planets. I develop numerical models, post-processing tools, and concepts like ‚Ocean-plate tectonics‘. I lead the transdisciplinary Subduction Zone Initiation (SZI) Database and create the academic profile ProAc. I design the Scientific colour maps and promote accurate and inclusive science visuals through the open-access graphics collection s-ink.org. I founded Undertone.design and joined the International Space Science Institute (ISSI) as a Communication Specialist.
Hannah F Rogers, University of Leeds, UK
Primary field of expertise: Internal dynamics, structure, chemical, thermal, and magnetic evolution of planets
Secondary field of expertise: Community initiatives: education, outreach, and equality, diversity, and inclusion efforts

I am currently a Research Fellow in Numerical Simulation of Planetary Magnetic Fields at the University of Leeds, but I have previously been a postdoctoral researcher at Université Grenoble Alpes and completed my PhD at the University of Edinburgh. I am particularly interested in geomagnetic field modelling and the dynamics at the top of Earth’s outer core that can be inverted from changes in Earth’s magnetic field. Alongside this, I am actively involved in a number of education, outreach and diversity initatives through IUGG, IAGA and institutions.
Graphic and website design
Geodynamica highly benefited from the help of Dr. Fabio Crameri/Undertone.design to create its logo, its visual identity and design its website.
