Geodynamica welcomes the submission of original manuscripts on original research on topics falling within the scope of the journal. Contributions from any person are welcome, and should be submitted through our submission platform:
What to include
- Main manuscript
- Cover letter (potentially including suggestions of reviewers and review type preferences (open, single-blind, double-blind))
- Supplementary materials
Submitted manuscripts must follow the Geodynamica template (LaTex Template).
Because Geodynamica is self-published under the volunteer efforts of our community, we kindly ask authors to make every effort to ensure that the manuscript is in a form that will help to enable the publication process.
More about Geodynamica‘s editorial check, peer-review model, and expected timelines, you can find in the information about the Editorial Management and the Review Process.
Should you require assistance during the submission process, kindly reach out to us.
Structure of volumes / issues
The articles will be published online immediately after (1) acceptance of the manuscript by the editorial team and (2) acceptance of the proofs by the authors. Peer review documents may be published along with an article upon agreement. Geodynamica will publish one volume per year, with articles grouped into two issues. Note that Geodynamica does not plan to publish special issues at this time.
Community Standards
Geodynamica strives to maintain a welcoming and positive environment as a requisite to achieve our mission of open science. Geodynamica will not discriminate against any person for any reason. Our work and our decisions are exclusively restricted to matters of science that fall within the scope of the journal. The interactions carried out in connection to the journal are a reflection upon our entire community, as also laid out in the Code of Conduct.
- The entire Geodynamica team, our reviewers, and authors strive to work and interact with one another in a respectful and positive manner.
- Critiques, comments, and other interactions should be limited to scientific and practical matters alone.
- Abusive, impolite, or extraneous matters may be flagged by anyone. We encourage all to bring these instances to the attention of any member of the Geodynamica team.
- Editors will not accept, nor utilize, reviews that contain abusive, overtly biased, ad hominem, discriminatory, or other kinds of inappropriate content.
- Every participant is encouraged to act in a manner that serves as a role model for the behavior of the entire community.
