About Geodynamica

Diamond Open Access – Free to Publish & Read

In recent years, various Earth Science fields have established several diamond open-access journals (DOAJ) to remove paywalls and promote true open science, such as Volcanica, Tektonika, Seismica, Sedimentologika, and Geomorphica.

Building on previous efforts and discussions – and launched on July 15, 2025 – Geodynamica is the DOAJ alternative to classic profit-based scientific journals in Earth and (Exo-)Planets dynamics.

Geodynamica’s mission is to facilitate scientific dialogue by publishing high-quality peer-reviewed original research on journal-relevant topics. It is a not-for-profit organisation, exclusively supported by the scientific community, and prioritises scientists’ needs in promoting open communication of science.
